In the bustling busyness, km’s of towering skyscrapers and neon lights of the night, meet Hong Kong. As I look around, I’m greeted with (too many to count) buildings after buildings… but there nestled in Kowloon sits The Peninsula Hong Kong.

Overlooking the Victoria Harbour (which at night-time is a sea of lights), the stunning hotel boasts 300 newly renovated guest rooms including 53 suites (of which I was extremely privileged to experience) all featuring personalized in-room technology. At the touch of the screen, I could dim the lights, play my favorite classical piano music, watch a movie or close the blinds.

As much as I didn’t want to leave the suite (why would you?), the hotel features a very large gym where you most likely will have a treadmill all to yourself. Walk 10 metres down the corridor and I’m greeted to a world-class spa that spans over two levels of the hotel. If you really want to be pampered ask for the couples spa suite where you can lay in your own private jacuzzi that overlooks the bay whilst your partner receives a massage. Talk about luxury! But if pampering is not for you, then you might find that the Roman-style swimming pool is more your cup of tea. But I remind you that the taking of photos is strictly banned in this area. You just never know who your swimming next to 😉

But what really stands out at The Peninsula Hong Kong is that on arrangement, they can pick you up from the airport in one of their fleet of fourteen  chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce Extended Wheelbase Phantoms that features wireless internet in the car…need I say more? Perfect for those who live on their lap tops and phones (like me).

As much as this timeless grandeur and elegance of this hotel continue to set standards worldwide, my 3 days of blissful experience was something that will always stay embedded into my happy memories for a lifetime long. Something you just need to experience for yourself…

This hotel comes highly recommended from me.
